PortBUG is pleased to announce Council’s ratification on 9th August of a new Walking & Cycling Plan to guide investment in Active Transport facilities & development for the next 5 years (2022 to 2027). The August Council minutes also record 3 investment targets drawn from the new Plan for the initial 2022-23 financial year (see table below). PortBUG will meet with PAE staff asap to discuss the longer-term implementation of the Plan, particularly with regard to development of local ‘secondary’ networks which we believe requires extensive consultation with local communities.
